Local tire shop employee wouldn't sell me new rear tires, Said my rear camber was off too much and it would just ruin the new tires too. He told me to fix it first, then come back. I know nothing about this except what he said and the wear pattern in the tires.

Where do I start and how do I fix it?

I replaced mine (easy to DIY) and did a four wheel alignment (had all four shock replaced, as well) afterward. Love the straighter look of the rear tires and I know they will wear MUCH better in the future. Drives like new again!!:razz:

I went with MAS from RockAuto. Not too expensive. Like $60. Solid and sturdy. Moog has a good reputation from what I can tell also.

After you install them, definitely get an alignment done because they come unadjusted and you will end up with an estimated match size of the stock ones. The difference will be night and day after the alignment is done. Also, the whole reason the tire salesperson wouldn’t sell you tires is because of this in the first place so there’s your answer right there.

If you buy new tires from the place they may possibly give you an alignment discount if you ask. See if there’s any warranty, and make sure you tell them you installed adjustable rear control arms.

As was told to me... after getting new tires, it’s always wise to get an alignment done anyway.

i can't believe no one said this.

camber doesn't wear out tires. toe in or toe out wears out the tires.

that being said, i run moog adjustable camber rear arms on my 2005. they've been great for 8+ years now...i have them set at 0 degrees. i've adjusted them as nutty as 10% negative...

old thread update

I can't find my purchase info, but my memory says I went with some Moog RK90489.

I noticed my camber was off again recently, and dealer noticed as well when I was in for an oil change. I went to get an alignment and the shop wouldn't do the work because the bushings were dead in both control arms. So my Moogs lasted about 4 years. I put on a lot of miles, but minimal weight in the back.
