I'm from Eugene and got my brand new E from Kendall a month ago.. my experience was fine! Started out with a brand new salesman that didn't know anything about the car he was selling but I knew what I wanted. Ended up with Sean and he was great to us.

Go to Kendall for a Great Deal

I bought my E the other day from Kendall and was treated superbly. They were professional, honest and went out of there way to make sure I was happy. They gave me a great price on my 08 SC and I could not be happier with them. This is my 3rd Honda through Kendall so far. I love my new E and I love their service department. Nothin but the best. Kendall ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Sincerly,
The Newbie:grin:

I used to get my previous car serviced at Kendall Honda. They treated me like crap.

I had a service performed under a recall. I called them to set up an appointment and made it clear that I would be driving over an hour and wanted to confirm that they would have the parts. Well I get there on the day of the appointment and, surprise, no parts. They wanted me to come in just to get the interior color code. So I had to make two trips for a total of 6 hours of driving and I still ended up with off colored parts.

In a separate instance I came out and found three sales guys leaning up against the side and back of my car like it was a park bench.

And the last straw was when I couldnt get a sales person to so much as give me the time of day. Apparently I looked to young to buy a car.

I ended up getting much better service at Sunwest Honda in Newport.

Stay away from Kendall Honda

I agree with the arrogance of the sales people. I heard they make so much money off of you and if you don't do what they want for their money making satisfaction, they treat you like crap and talk bad behind your back. I had a bad experience driving all the way down from lincoln city, only to have the car not have what was guaranteed to me and the service department was conveniently closed, so I had no choice but to take the car even though I didn't get what was promised.

NW Dealers

I feel the same way about Beaverton Honda salespeople. When I was buying my E (4 years ago), their salesperson was such a jerk--bragged to me all about himself during our test drive, knew nothing about the vehicle. Irrelevant useles mouth dribble. Then in the end he tried to MAJOR high-pressure me into buying an E loaded with a bunch of what I consider useless accessories for TWENTY SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Four years ago. Then he called his "manager" to try and pressure some more and refused to offer any other price unless I gave them my social security number so they could check financing etc. My credit score is over 800--I tell folks I have "excellent credit" and to me, that should suffice until we are actually signing papers. I don't need those games and don't hand out my social security number lightly. Esp to jerks.

Bottom line, after spending two hours there I walked out and bought my Element over the internet the very next day--EX for just a tad over $20,000. Never gave them the sale, and bad mouth Beaverton Honda every time I get an opportunity. It is what they and every dealer deserves for disrespecting their customers and taking them for stupid. Kendall should have put more effort into compromising w. the original poster or they wouldn't find their name being smeared here too.

On the flip side, I have been taking my car to Ron Tonkin for what little maintenance it needs for about a year or two now. Their customer service has been superb. Their prices were lower than Goodyear for the brake fluid change. I am willing to drive a little farther to get the assurance of Honda expertise, but only when folks are reasonable. No, I don't work for Tonkin, but I have been WAY impressed with their customer service.

Ouch...an old thread, but the first google search that comes up when you type "Kendall Honda". I am not going to pretend...I am a salesman at Kendall Honda, and I sad to see that the OP had felt he was treated less than fairly, and in that situation I can understand why. I see the same thing at other dealerships, and will admit that even at ours, nothing is 100%. But, as I was not employed there during this time period, I can say that we are what I like to think, a very standup company. We have a different General manager than back then, and as an employee, I have to say that he is the best boss I have ever worked for. He is fair and he sticks by his promises. For further proof, I would have you look at more recent reviews of Kendall Honda. I, myself, both internally in the dealership, and 3rd party reviews have a perfect score among buyers. They always leave happy. If you are skeptical (I can't blame you...dealerships have an earned reputation) go here to view more current reviews of our practices. http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Kendall-Honda-review-7717/

Thanks for listening.

On 06 January, 2013 at or around 2:33pm, I used The Automatic Car Wash and Kendall Honda, which is part of the Kendall Automotive Group in Eugene OR at 846 Goodpasture Island Rd. Their phone number is 541 485 6111. Their website is www.kendallhonda.com.

I was told to release the steering wheel, place the car in neutral and turn off the vehicle. I did exactly that. My car was forced into the car in front of me, causing an accident. Following the accident, I verified that the driver of the front vehicle was aware that I would advocate for the well being of her vehicle. I gave her all of my contact information. We both spoke with Dylan Gillespie. He was attending the car was at the time. He had instructed me to place my car in neutral and release control of the steering wheel prior to entering. He handled the situation well and my concern is not with him. (Thank you Dylan) I notified her that I have dealt with insurance companies and MV (Motor Vehicle) dealerships on a prior basis and made it clear that being assertive is very important. She assured me that Kendall Honda was trustworthy and would take care of her. In agreement, I had seen nothing but positive experienced from Kendall up until this point.

This morning I received a call from Rudolpho Mendoza explaining that he would rather have the insurance companies figure out who was at fault. I explained in no uncertain terms that both cars were in complete control of the car wash. Neither driver was at fault.

I now have a claim on my insurance!!!!

Stay away from this company, and avoid trusting your car care to them.

Do not like Kendall!

We had went to Kendall Chevrolet, right next door to Kendall Honda, basically same building. We asked the salesman what was the bottom dollar they would take for the vehicle we were looking at. He had to ask the manager. The salesman came back and asked what price we were willing to pay. In order to see how low they would go (to get us a better deal) we shot them a lower price, knowing they wouldn't take it (it wasn't ridiculously low!). Again, the salesman had to go ask the manager. The manager came to us. He asked us if the salesman had given us a price. Our answer, "well, yes, the price on the window of the vehicle." At that time the manager said "ok. You have a nice day" and walked away. They basically told us to leave! Have not been back since. I will go to Guaranty Chevrolet before going back to Kendall. I did buy a Mustang from Kendall Ford. It was on sale and the same price I was looking at used vehicles. I won't buy anything else from Kendall. (They wouldn't let us order our F150. Had to buy one from their lot or they wouldn't deal with us. Went to Gibson Ford and ordered it!)
