I found a similar item at local Marden's. By Case Logic. Only drawback is no liner bag. But it was only $5.

Marden's is a Maine institution.

I DO LIKE this Thule bag more. Buyer's remorse...

 

It's cool...but not as cool as my disposable Wal-mart bag.:grin:

 

Actually you put a walmart bag inside the thule as a liner. It has a little ridge so you can tuck the lip of the bag down so it doesn't slip down & don't see the handles sticking out when the lid's closed. Plus there's a little spot on the front for storing extra bags. You can kinda see it in the pic, it acts like a baby wipe dispenser.

It's real handy on road trips. When you stop for gas you just grap the whole bag & chunk it without having to take the garbage can out. My 4 y.o. has discovered she can pick up the lid with her foot and toss stuff in it from her kiddie seat. :lol:

The UPS man delivered my Thule trash bin about an hour ago. It is made in China, but the materials and workmanship are first class.

It is small, looks like a backpack for midgets, but I think it will hold 6 empty Deer Park water bottles, four empty Miller Lite cans, two dozen Whopper wrappers.

I will make detailed photos's of the intricate installation process and post them in a few days.

 

Thule Litter bag

I just received one of these from HandA and when it arrived, I found that there was horizontal split in the rigid plastic liner that almost completely cut it in two. HandA responded to my complaint that they all come that way from Thule, but I find it hard to believe that Thule purposely puts a rigid plastic back on these things and then breaks them. It sure looks like a stress fracture of the plastic from being bent or flexed too much.

I'd be curious to hear if anyone's Thule Litter bag has a similar "split back."

Yes, Trevor over at HandA carries the same bag with the Honda logo on it.
I did see the note that Thule ships the bags to them bent. Really weird.
Have any of you order the Thule bag from anywhere else?? Post pics.

I also have one, picked it up at Target. It is great, the kids can reach it from the back seat and I can reach it from the front. It holds extra plastic bags, so fill one up and replace it with a new one. Free plastic bags are great but they tend to spill there contents all over the place.

 

Thule Litter bag physical condition

For the one you picked up at Target, if you look inside the main compartment, is the plastic sheet that forms the back cracked horizontially about half-way? The one I received from HandA was bent in half, as they advertised, but it looks like it was flexed a number of times so that the plastic cracked. The thing has a permanent set and I just can't believe that Thule ships these things broken. I'd be very interested to know if yours has an intact back or if it is also cracked.
