Want to get hitched to my Lazy Daze. Does anyone have any preference as to which tow bar to use? Anyhow have any experience in towing the Element behind a rig??
Thanks, JudiJune

I'm not aware of any yr element having a CVT trannyWe have towed as 4-down "Toads" both 2wd and 4wd automatic (2006) Honda Pilots without issues. STRICTLY FOLLOWING HONDAS PROCEDURE.
I installed Roadmaster StowMaster car mounts on both of them, mostly because we already had the ball hitch for that brand from a previous Jeep toad. The Blue Ox has more features and the connector you put on the Toad is less visible, but also more expensive. ETrailer carries both brands.
If you look for flat tow list, you'll find several on the internet, you'll see the element is on the lists up to a certain year (whenever they changed to the CVT).
The lists say to follow the manual, and honda has instructions (Just search for "procedure from honda to tow an automatic" and a pdf from techinfo.honda.com > pubs will show up. It will discuss the details)
up the a certain year.
Even though the tranny did not change, eventually Hond stopped "approval". I'm of the opponion it was because too may did not heed top speed (65) or duration of time between stops recommended and mucked up their tranny's. Honda was tired of picking up the bill. The reason I'm looking for a manual is the procedure is much easier.
