I suspect the ignition switch is bad/dirty. Before replacement, order some Deoxit D5 spray from Amazon and try a squirt of that in the switch and insert the key multiple times but don't move from off position for 5 minutes to let the spray evaporate. This fixed mine and also my noisy volume fader on stereo. When my switch was buzzing, it would catch most times but if I turned it slowly to start it would buzz. If that is not it, I gather from the posts, you will have to replace switch if all other components are good. Disclaimer: I helped my E with this fix but you do this at your own risk.
I used the Deoxit spray in an industrial repair setting for several years and it's good stuff.

I've replaced my buzzing ignition switch. Easy to do and inexpensive too!

 

My 2005 EX did the same thing. Bought a new ignition at Auto Zone. East to fix for about $50 Here is a video showing you how

 

I had the same issue, this is the solution, easy fix.

 

Had the exact same issues. Bought a new Honda ignition switch for $60 and installed it myself...not too difficult.Here's a youtube video for installation.

This Steering/Iginiton Switch, will an aftermarket one be just as good and last just as long or longer than an OEM one? A quick search on google seemed to show there is not much price difference

Question, can a bad ignition switch begin to drain your battery? Or cause it not to start if left with the buzzing issue for a long time??
