Just curious what your guys' recommendations were for wipers. And does the E use "pinch tab" or a lock? I'm looking at the Bosch Aerotwins.

I have a 2008. I need two 20" blades right?

I've tried all the expensive brands including RainX brand and Bosch.

I have these now.....every bit as good if not better even in cold weather they do not streak !!

The blades run about $17.00 ea. ( on line purchase / pick up at store = their on line 20% discount )

Not sure who actually makes these for Car Quest. But for instance, their Gold Brake pads are Akebono, confirmed as the pads themselves have Akebono brand mark on them.....again not a huge fan of Car Quest stuff but these two purchases are home run IMO.

How did these hold up after 18 months?

I found them at Wal-Mart for $13.59 each

I get 20" Anco's on sale from Walmart, treat the blades annually with 303 and replace them whenever they start skipping. I switch to a front set of winter Ancos at the first snow and back in April. When I replace a front blade, I cut down the rubber and install it in the rear.

I do this in combination with RainX washer fluid, have had no problems doing this since I got my first E back in 2004 and get a minimum of 2 year's good service from a front blade. I haven't bought a rear blade since 2006.

I bought this brand of silicone wiper blades on ebay.

After going to local auto parts stores and getting sticker shock ($40/set?) I searched on ebay and tried these on my Miata first, they worked so well I bought them for all of my other cars. Clean great, quiet, still work like new after almost a year and four east coast seasons (including last week) and the price is ridiculous. It was funny how much pushback I got from people on the Miata forum who insisted on using name brand wipers. Hey, it's your money, knock yourselves out. When I get to the point where I need replacements (likely no time soon) I know exactly where I'm going again.

I've been been using RainX washer fluid before I got these wipers.

I have also used the cheap ones from ebay for several years now on different cars. They are actually better than any of the brand name ones as the whole blade is a spring and creates excellent pressure even at highway speeds are good for canadian winters, no need to change to a winter blade. They were super cheap years ago, like $3 CAD each if I remember. They have gotten more pricey now on ebay but are still a big savings over brand name store bought blades. Only once did I ever get a set that was damaged in shipping but the last set I got came in much better protective bubble tube packaging.

just search ebay for them, there always seems to be a different ebay seller stocking them
