i'd be surprised if that wasn't a custom setup, or some nut that tied the ladder to his rack

 

I couldn't get super close to see the setup, but it looked like the proper business, manufactured feet or towered ladder holders attached to the stock roof rack.

Load stops is what I need...does anyone know where I can find some that will fit the '03 factory installed roof rack bars? I've found Thule and Yakima made stops, but never look like they'll fit. Any help will be greatly appreciated?

 

I've carried TWO 28 foot extension ladders on mine. From S.F. to Oakland on oem roof rack and ratcheting straps. no problems.

since you really want to carry such a large ladder ide suggest making custom front and rear mounted racks. theres no real safe way to carry a 24 foot long item with only a 4 foot mounting base.

or atleast use one that attaches to a hitch.
