Wondering if the interior vinyl dash panels (the gauge panel, etc.) can be vinyl wrapped or wrapped in fabric? If anyone has done this… can you link your post or share your advice? Wanting to wrap my dash panels in a 3m vinyl teak wood, but concerned it won’t stick right.

Do a search or Amazon or eBay for "Interior Wood Grain Textured Glossy Vinyl Wrap Sticker Decal Sheet Film DIY". On Amazon you will find reviews of the various products. I've painted interior parts with great success, but I have used wraps only on the exterior parts. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks yeah I have the exact vinyl picked out and I ordered samples of it, but as I was going to order the full amount I saw that it may not attach well to the interior vinyl surfaces, though it doesn’t specify the pieces I’m wanting to wrap specifically. So I’m looking for other’s advice to see what they’ve done and what’s worked for them.

Clean the panels thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove oils and dust. Lightly sanding with very fine grit like 600–800 can help the vinyl grip better on tricky plastics. Heat gun or hair dryer is your friend here warming the vinyl while applying helps it conform to curves and edges without bubbles. I’ve seen a few detailed DIY posts where people wrapped their dash panels in woodgrain vinyl and the results were fantastic looks factory but with a custom twist.
