Avic-D3 Background

any idea on how to chance out custom backgrounds on the D3? i was all over that AVIC site, and can't seem to find info on step by step procedure on how to change D3 backgrounds.

and what is the screen size?

Basically you have to make a JPEG file that is the correct size (i can't remember offhand, at work can't look it up) and put it on a cd with the correct directory. I think its (CD):/Pics or /pictures. Something like that. Then go into the system options and change the background by loading an image off of the CD. Once it is loaded it will remain in the unit memory until it loses power (disconnecting the battery). I can repost with the exact info later.

exact info would be helpful... cause i can't seem to get it to work :sad:

thanks! worked great... just need to get a proper screen size. but once i figure that out, we should be good to go!

Hello,

I will triying too change the back wallpaper on my navigation, i bought a DVD-RW and i use CD-R i follow the steps exactly how the owners manual says but nothing SOMEBODY PLEASE can tell me the steps to do it, the folder have to be PICTURES, pictures, /PICTURES/, /pictures/, and the manual say up to 20 pictures and files ".jpg" or ".JPG" but on my laptop all the pics say JEPG and i'm using Windows Vista...

Er, basically just have a folder on the disk that is labeled "PICTURES". Don't add any other slashes. The directory is D:/PICTURES (assuming your DVD-RW drive is D) but in terms of the windows interface you just want to see the word "PICTURES" for the folder name. I don't believe that capital letters will make a difference but it is possible.
