Is there a consensus as to the best replacement strut assemblies ?
All 4 of my original struts show leakage @ 80k miles.
There are quite a few choices available, but I'm also looking for the smoothest ride (I know, it's a relative term).
I'd like to avoid the expense of Genuine Honda, but if there is nothing else as good...............

Local shop installed them without issue - they're fine, but my expectations for an improved ride were a bit high. Still loud, still a bit wobbly over bumps, but that's just the E.

The OEM/KYB assemblies are currently due to be re-released in Q2 of 2022. There are several other conversation threads on the topic... People are either building them with the available individual parts now or are waiting until KYB makes the complete assemblies available.:
Honda ran out of struts

Sachs and KYB are definitely better than Monroe or Gabriel. Neither Koni or Bilstein offer dampers for the Element and besides they are overkill. I prefer KYB but Sachs are good. Unfortunately neither offer the strut assemblies which makes things a lot tougher. Gabriel used to be better quality than Monroe but I would rather not use either if I could avoid it.

I just replaced both ends with TRQ from 1A Auto. The price was good but the bonus are the videos that show complete R&R. There were some differences between the car in the video and my ‘05 but nothing major that held up the install. Having a helper for certain parts of the process is mandatory unless you have a full lift in your garage. 😂
