Hey! I just bought a NOS OEM fog light kit for my '05 EX.

Unfortunately the kit doesn't come with the switch. The instruction booklet says that the switch is "sold separately". This is a nuisance because the kit has the complete wiring harness so essentially it's a "plug and play". I noticed that the switch connector on the harness is 5-pin and the cheap aftermarket switches are only 3-pin. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the switch harness so I could properly select the 3 pins on the OEM connector to wire into an aftermarket switch?

All you really need to know is what each of these are. Im presuming the red from switch is the relay trigger wire input but which of those is the relay? Yellow goes to the dash lights for the switch but which of those powers the lights? Of coarse black is ground. On the factory side you should have a circuit that powers on with the key, one with battery power, one is the light circuit and ground. Anybody got a multimeter and some time

The pre 2007 fog kits need the dash switch (next to your left knee). It would be a pain to try to modify it for the stalk one. Your OEM kit for your year is a very hard to find kit and very difficult to replicate. You are lucky to find it. It's all plug and play. I would ask around on the Facebook Element pages because someone must have an extra. I sold an OEM kit like that not too long ago and it had two switches in it to match different colored dashes. ...I just looked on E-bay and it looks like there are some on there for Civics and they might be the same as Elements. They are only $20.
