Hankook Kinergy Reviews plus Tire Speed Rating Confusion

Hello All,

Did as a thorough a Google and EOC as I know how and could find nothing on these tires relating to the element, which surprises me. Anyone have any experience with them? They're some of the cheapest ones that will ship to me free in Hawaii ($100 ea) and seem just fine for my needs.

I also like that they seem super light at 24lb, most comparable tires are 28+. I realize they are listed as 103t, which exceeds the Element load rating of 100 but is one less than the speed rating of H. From the research I've done, going down one speed rating is generally fine. Add to that the max speed limit on the island I live is 50 so it might get up to 60 max.. hard to imagine it could be an issue. However maybe there is some effect on handling etc. that I don't know about. Anyone have further insight on this? Thanks much.

I don't know the exact size, but we've had four on our Element for ~5–10k miles (since we bought it used in 2018). The service department at our Honda dealer (Oregon) said that it's what new CR-Vs are delivered with.

When they went on, we were dealing with a ton of other suspension issues that were greater contributors to ride quality… so I can't really provide a scientific before + after impression! But yes, apparently a brand + model that is deployed by Honda.
