How to hide GPS wires??

I mounted a garmin gps system to the dash - just to the drivers side of the a/c / heater vents. Currently, I just have the wire hanging over the dash and into the 12-v socket on the passenger side. Anyone know how the plastic dash parts come apart? I was thinking there must be a way to hide this wire and then figure out how to hook up the power while not using the 12-v plug in the dash. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I have a Garmin 2730 and I bought a hardwire power/audio kit for it off Ebay.

The unit is hardwired to the fuse box with a piggy-back so there is no power cord going to the front power outlet.

The trick is to find 12 volt powered speakers for the hardwire audio. I used an old set of 12 volt computer speakers which I powered off the rear power outlet. I just stuffed the speakers inside the rear sidewells.

I didn't take the dash apart to hide my wires, just removed the A-pillar cover and fished the wires behind the dash.

Here's a thread showing my TomTom GO installation and how I powered it.

I took this route since the TTG is 5v. I now have my Sirius powered by this setup with a 2-into-1 adapter.

The interior dash parts pull apart very easily...there are a few screws to remove.

There are theads out there about it as well as the hidden antenna trick too....try searching for them in the mobile electronics section.
