Looks like Costco now carries the Coverking/Skanda Tactical seats but only in black or grey. Still, I'm tempted to get these and return the regular Coverkings I got a few months ago.

I've heard from multiple people that the 07-08 patterns aren't fitting and Coverking are being a-holes about it. They keep trying to buy PARTS of my 03-06 sale set to replace the misfits, but I won't break up my set.

I really like the look of the Honda OEM seat covers, but i'm not sure if i can use them. I have a 2009 Element EX 4WD. The OEM covers say 2003-2006. Has anyone tried to use them on newer models?

Also, i'm also not sure if i have the side airbags. I used several of the VIN decoder sites to see if they listed it. One site listed this:

  • Dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags
  • Front side-impact airbags-inc: passenger-side occupant position detection system
  • Side curtain airbags w/rollover sensor, front & rear

I'm not sure if all EX models came with the side airbags, or if it was an option you paid extra for. Does anyone know if there is a visual way I can check?

Thanks!

Due to the change in seat design for 2007 they will not fit.

Great, thanks DougRuss and Lizzurd! It turns out i do have the side airbags... which I understand severely limits my options. I guess i'll start going through this thread again to find my options.

I got the wetsuit seat covers from costco for like $20. It completely transformed the look/quality of the interior. No regrets!
Ughh, those were the first ones I tried after gettting my E, couldn't even get them to seat correctly, plus it wouldn't work with the side airbags.

The tactical seats are $30 off at Costco right now, really considering these but not sure which color is best for my grey interior. I prefer black but my ****er spaniel's cream colored fur would really show up on it.

I just purchased my seat covers from Seat Covers Unlimited out of Arizona. Fit is very good, and it totally transforms the seat in your Element. My preference is the Scottsdale material. Durable and washable. Ill post a few pictures when I get home.

It might limit your options of your basic universal seat covers. You might have to order custom ones from the net. Which have to provisions to allow the air bag to deploy properly in case of an accident.

Seat covers that fit!

I ordered these seat covers from ebay and just got them on tonight. They have zippered sides so they fit under the seat belts. Didn't know how difficult it would be to find seat covers for this vehicle but I've seen a lot of wear on the sides of the seats on older Elements and decided I needed covers.
It was really a pain to get the elastic straps connected under the seats - the hardest time I've ever had getting seat covers on and I've had over a dozen cars. They don't feel very thick, definitely low end, but for $26 I think they'll save my seats. Wish they had come with arm rest covers.

I just ordered a pair of these from eBay .... SeatSavers -SS2413PCCH fits Honda Element 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

They weren't cheap, but neither would be reupholstering my seats. So far mine are perfect but between me sliding in and out and the dogs getting their muddy paws on them, I need something that will hold up and look good. I will post a review when I get them in a few weeks.

Can't say enough good about the Wet Okolie seat covers. They fit like a glove, take a lot of abuse, and the Hawaiian print makes me feel better when its snowing. Well worth the investment.

How do you like these seat covers? Have any pictures of this installed?

Do you sweat with them during the hotter months? I’m considering the investment but worried about feeling sticky during the summer. I’m the type that likes to put fabric seat covers over leather.

Some of products mentioned here seem to no longer be availble...I have a 2004 Element LX no airbags or arm rests...the drivers seat outer left edge started seperate wanted to get a snug fitting durable cover to hold it all together and keep any other damage from happening. any suggestions on what is currently availble in 2020 thats not a few hundred dollars, or is it simply a matter of you get what you pay for and i should just pay more for the seat covers than i did for the darn car it's self?
